Members of the Joint Collegium of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina met today with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, and members of the Croatian Government who are in an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the discussion, the joint assessment was that the cooperation between the two friendly countries is very good in many areas, as evidenced by the fact that the Republic of Croatia is among Bosnia and Herzegovina's top three foreign trade partners.

Prime Minister Plenković emphasized that the Republic of Croatia strongly supports a united and functional Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the full equality of all three constituent peoples and citizens. He also expressed hope that a set of EU priority laws will be soon on the table and that significant reforms on the European path will be implemented much more quickly after local elections in our country.

The members of the leadership of the houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH expressed special gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Republic of Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path to EU membership and for frequently representing the interests of our country in EU institutions. Also, the hope was expressed for continued joint efforts on this path, and the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Council of Ministers of BiH were invited to work together on some sensitive issues that could further enhance the friendly relations between the two countries.
