Representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, met with the Executive Director of Women Social Democrats of Finland

Representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, met today in Sarajevo with Noora Kettunen, Executive Director of Women Social Democrats of Finland.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged information on the competencies and activities of the highest legislative institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Finland, as well as on the possibilities for interparliamentary cooperation.

The discussion also focused on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path, with particular attention to energy issues. In this context, Representative Salkičević-Dizdarević informed the Finnish guest about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s obligations under the Energy Community Treaty, highlighting the need to adopt several key European laws, such as the Law on Electricity and the Law on Gas at the state level. The discussion also covered both countries' goals related to the green agenda and carbon neutrality.

Kettunen expressed support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path and shared information about future activities of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Finland in the Western Balkans. (End)
