Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples PA BiH Kemal Ademović participated in the international conference "Mostar 2024: Dialogue for the Future “

"Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) Kemal Ademović participated today in the international conference "Mostar 2024: Dialogue for the Future", which, on the occasion of marking the 20th anniversary of the restoration of the Old Bridge, was jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the City of Mostar, the United Nations, UNESCO, the World Bank, the Centre for Peace and Multicultural Dialogue and numerous other partners.

The participants of the conference said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a bridge that connects different civilizations, cultures, peoples and religions. Everyone who loves Bosnia and Herzegovina builds and protects bridges, and those who do not understand our millennial being, they destroy bridges, emphasized the participants of the conference.

The Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, addressed the participants in a video message, while the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, and the Chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, and the director UNESCO Qu Xing greeted the participants of the conference.

In their speeches, the participants of the conference promoted reconciliation and coexistence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting the Old Bridge and the Old Town of Mostar as symbols of multiculturalism.

The participants of the conference also signed the Mostar Declaration for the Future, which emphasized the need to preserve dialogue and encourage the process of reconciliation and regional cooperation.

In addition to representatives of all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the conference was also attended by Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Burhanettin Duran, former President of Slovenia Borut Pahor, and numerous other invited officials and guests.
