Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH Nebojša Radmanović and members of the Delegation of the PA BiH Rejhana Dervišević, Sredoje Nović and Vlatko Glavaš will participate in the 18th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) Nebojša Radmanović and members of the Delegation of PA BiH to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) - Chair of the Delegation Rejhana Dervišević and Deputy Chairs of the Delegation Sredoja Nović and Vlatko Glavaš - will participate in the 18th plenary session of the PAM, which will be held from May 14 to 16 in Braga (Republic of Portugal).

The plenary session of this international multilateral organization will focus on economic challenges in the Mediterranean region, such as the impact of inflation and obstacles to free trade, as well as on the forecasts of major international financial institutions for economic growth at the global and regional level.

Parliamentarians from PAM member countries will also discuss the consequences of the war in Ukraine on global food and energy security, the effects of sanctions and threats to free navigation and trade in the Red Sea in connection with the ongoing conflict in Gaza, as well as the issue of using artificial intelligence in the production sectors.

Sessions of three permanent committees of PAM will be held - the Permanent Committee for Political and Security Cooperation, the Permanent Committee for Economic, Social and Environmental Cooperation and the Permanent Committee for Dialogue between Civilizations and the Protection of Human Rights.

At the session of the Standing Committee for Economic, Social and Cooperation in the Field of Environmental Protection, the Chair of the PA BiH Delegation to the PAM, Rejhana Dervišević, in the capacity of the Committee's rapporteur, will present a report and a proposal for a resolution on the topic "From a decade of lost opportunities to a decade of transformation and cooperation - global economic perspectives 2023/2024 and the future of the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf region".
