Members of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Kemal Ademović and Obren Petrović, met with Swedish parliamentarians of BiH origin

The Speaker of the House of Peoples and the Chairman of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA), Kemal Ademović, and delegation member Obren Petrović, participating in the 104th Rose Roth seminar in Stockholm, held a meeting with members of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sweden of Bosnian origin, Denis Begić, and Dženan Čišija.

Swedish parliamentarians of BiH origin specifically highlighted the significant opportunities for co-operation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden. They noted that the officials and the Swedish government are inclined to provide full support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to EU membership. In this regard, they emphasized the need to harness the potential and resources of citizens with roots in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the necessity for stronger actions by BiH institutions in that direction.

Begić and Čišija, who are members of the Swedish Social Democratic Party, briefed Ademović and Petrović on the functioning and activities of the Parliament of Sweden.

During the meeting, they also discussed possibilities for enhancing bilateral relations and economic co-operation between the two friendly countries. (end)
