The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Božo Ljubić, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ognjen Tadić, at the European Conference of Parliamentary Speakers in Strasbourg
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Božo Ljubić, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ognjen Tadić, will participate in the European Conference of Parliamentary Speakers in Strasbourg from 20-21 September 2012.
The main themes to be discussed during the first day of the conference are: “The Future of the European Court of Human Rights- the role of national parliaments” and “Is representative democracy in crisis- the challenges for national parliaments”. On the second day of the conference, the following discussion topic is planned: “Arabic revolution- challenges and opportunities.” Within the first theme, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ognjen Tadić, will give a presentation. It is also planned that, during discussion on the second theme, Dr. Božo Ljubić, Speaker of the House of Representatives, will address the participants.
The conference in Strasbourg will be an opportunity for many bilateral meetings with Parliamentary Speakers and high-level delegates from other countries. It is anticipated that conclusions will be adopted at the end of the European Conference of Parliamentary Speakers. (end)
