The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Božo Ljubić, meets the delegation of the Republic of France Senate
The Speaker of House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Božo Ljubić, met the delegation of the Senate of the Republic of France, lead by the President of the Friendship Group for the Western Balkans, Mr. Jean Pierr Michel, and the Vice-President of the Group for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Billout Michel.
During the meeting, it was announced that a delegation of businessmen from France will soon arrive in our country; however, bureaucratic obstacles present a problem to higher investments in BiH, as well as the fact that the laws change too quickly and they are not in line with EU legislation.
Dr. Ljubić emphasized that despite all Bosnia and Herzegovina’s problems, it still has advantages, such as resources and an educated work force. He emphasized that, on the other hand, the administrative structure does not allow the sustainability of the country.
“The Dayton Peace Agreement created an asymmetrical structure of two entities, with the Bosniak majority in one entity, and the Serb in the other. The problems that we face is the unresolved position of the Croat people”, Dr. Ljubić stressed, adding that BiH's Road to European Union and the restructuring of BiH should be two parallel processes. Also, the entrance of our country into the EU is not just in the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but of Europe as well, Dr. Ljubić emphasized.
During the meeting, also attended by the Ambassador of France in BiH, Rolland Gilles, Dr. Božo Ljubić was presented with an award by the Senate of the Republic of France.
