The Chair and Deputy Chair of the Joint Committee for Defence and Security of BiH, Jasmin Imamović and Marina Pendeš, spoke with representatives of the Centre for European Security Studies from Groningen

The Chair and Deputy Chair of the Joint Committee for Defence and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jasmin Imamović and Marina Pendeš, spoke today in Sarajevo with representatives of the Centre for European Security Studies (CESS) from Groningen, headed by director Merijn Hartog.

During the meeting, Director Hartog and his colleagues presented the work and activities of this respectable Centre and informed the members of the Joint Committee about the beginning of the implementation of the BIHOS project, which will be implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the next three and a half years. The BIHOS project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and will be implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the Centre for Security Studies of BiH and the European Defence Centre Banja Luka.

During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of cooperation with the Joint Committee for Defence and Security of BiH on the implementation of this project, the management of the security sector, as well as the possibilities of improving parliamentary supervision and control in the security sector.
