Chair of the Joint Commission for Defence and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jasmin Imamović, attended the Annual Analysis in the field of personnel management in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2022, held in Sarajevo.

Chair of the Joint Commission for Defence and Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jasmin Imamović, attended today in Sarajevo the Annual Analysis in the field of personnel management in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2022.

This meeting was organized by the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of analysing the state of the personnel, analysing the problems in the work and presenting the plans for recruiting personnel in the coming period.

The projection of the personnel situation for the period 2023 - 2027 was presented, and the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Service in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on Military Career Management was discussed.

It was stated that young people are leaving the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the interest in serving in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina is decreasing, which has resulted in a decreasing number of officers and non-commissioned officers.

Chairman Imamović addressed the participants of the meeting and called on the leaders of the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina to further engage in solving the status issues of the members of the Armed Forces of BiH with the aim of improving the conditions for their life and work in units and commands.

Imamović announced that the Joint Commission for Defence and Security of BiH, in accordance with its Orientation Plan, will soon organize an Overview Conference on the topic: "Legislative framework, current state and plans of BiH institutions in the field of defence and security", during which they will also discuss on the current situation and plans in the defence and security sector of BiH.

Annual Analysis session was attended by the leaders of the MoD of BiH and the Armed Forces of BiH headed by Major General Gojko Knežević, officials of the MoD of BiH, representatives of the EUFOR Command for BiH and NATO Headquarters Sarajevo. (end)
