Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH Marinko Čavara and delegate in the House of Peoples of the PA BiH Radovan Kovačević met in Stockholm with the Deputy Speakers of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sweden

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) Marinko Čavara and the delegate in the House of Peoples of the PA BiH Radovan Kovačević met in Stockholm with the Deputy Speakers of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sweden (Sveriges Riksdag) Kenneth G. Forslund and Kerstin Lundgren.

In the introductory part of the meeting, the deputy chairman of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH, Marinko Čavara, introduced the interlocutors to the current political, economic and security situation in BiH.

A positive event in the past period was the granting of candidacy status to BiH. During the conversation, Mr. Čavara and Mr. Kovačević explained the role of PA BiH, and all that is their task on the way to EU membership.

The Deputy Speakers of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sweden emphasized the importance of strengthening the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, especially in the period when the Kingdom of Sweden chairs the EU Council, which would represent additional encouragement and incentive during the adaptation to the EU before full membership.

At the end of the meeting, the PA BiH representatives expressed their gratitude and expectation of the continuation of the Kingdom of Sweden's support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on the path to joining the EU. (end)
