Parliamentary Military Commissioner of BiH, Mr. Boško Šiljegović, met the Parliamentary Delegation of the Republic of Austria


Parliamentary Military Commissioner of BiH, Mr. Boško Šiljegović, spoke today with members of the Parliamentary Delegation of the Republic of Austria, the Chairman of the Austrian Parliamentary Commission for the Federal Armed Forces, Mr. Paul Kiss, the Deputy Chairman, Mr. Anton Gaal, the Senior Legal Secretary, Mr Karl Schneemann, and the Commander of EUFOR Austrian Contingent, Brigadier Peter Pertl.

Mr. Šiljegović emphasized at the meeting that the position of the Military Commissioner was established in order to strengthen the rule of the law, protection of human rights of military personnel and cadets of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Highlighting the fact that the Military Commissioner works professionally and does not represent interests of any political party or organization, he pointed out that it is a responsible job where any exchange of experience is welcomed.

Members of the Austrian Delegation have expressed strong support to the work of the Parliamentary Military Commissioner and invited him to visit the Parliament and the Austrian Armed Forces in order to get the good insight of the Committee’s activities as it deals with the protection of human rights of members of Armed Forces.
