The Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr Mirza Kušljugić, talked with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden
The Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the BiH PA House of Representatives, Mr Mirza Kušljugić, talked with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms Anne Vibeke Lilloe, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr Bosse Hedberg, about a joint meeting of the committees on foreign affairs’ representatives from the Parliaments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro. The meeting is scheduled for 15 March 2013, in Sarajevo.
The envisaged meeting, it was stated, represents continuing co-operation between the committees on foreign affairs of the four countries. Co-operation which commenced with a meeting held in Zagreb in October 2012, where the Nordic, Baltic and Benelux models of interstate co-operation were presented.
Mr. Kusljugic said that an expert group from the Igman Initiative will draft proposed models of inter-parliamentary co-operation between the four countries in the region in accordance with the Nordic model, while the forthcoming meeting in Sarajevo will be part of the process of improving co-operation among the committees and Parliaments of BiH, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro.
He noted that the primary goal is to put ideas for the concrete implementation of projects on the parliamentary session agenda as soon as possible.
Ambassadors Lilloe and Hedberg, as representatives of Nordic Council member countries, are willing to share experiences of the Council, by providing support to all forms of co-operation among the countries in the region.
