The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples, Ognjen Tadić, spoke to the newly appointed Ambassador of China to BiH
“Within the first couple of days of my stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I had a good feeling that there could be much more intense economic co-operation between this country and China. There is huge potential, and there are a lot of things that we can do to improve links, but I also think that we have still not found a true means of bilateral co-operation” stated Dong Chungfeng, the newly appointed Ambassador of China to our country during his meeting with Ognjen Tadić, Deputy Speaker of the BiH PA House of Peoples.
As an important example of an economic co-operation, Messrs Chungfeng and Tadic emphasized the construction of the thermal power plant Stanari, as a pilot project for future Chinese investment in the RS. Deputy Speaker Tadić, expressed expectations that Chinese economists would promptly resolve those administrative details enabling them to enter the market, while it was jointly hoped that the next meeting of these two officials would take place in a successful company - the result of joint investment either in Banja Luka or some other city of the RS of BiH.
The Ambassador of China today repeated that his country fully supports the Dayton Agreement, and that he is happy that the two friendly States are characterized by a lot of understanding on the international relations agenda. (end)
