The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA, Dr. Božo Ljubić, met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in BiH

 
Economic co-operation can’t wait; therefore, in parallel with strengthening well-established political relations between BiH and the People’s Republic of China, it is necessary to divert energy into strengthening the economic relations of these two countries, with an emphasis on improving the exchange of economic trade. This was stated during today’s meeting between the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA, Dr. Božo Ljubić, and the newly appointed Ambassador of the PRC to our country, Dong Chungfeng.

Ambassador Dong Chungfeng emphasized that, despite his recent arrival in BiH, he already sees a great amount of potential for intensifying economic co-operation. He added that maximum efforts will be invested to improve co-operation on all levels, but that he himself will also actively engage in the realization of concrete projects.

The Speaker, Božo Ljubić, introduced Ambassador Chungfeng to the current political situation in BiH, the achievements necessary for joining NATO and the EU, and expressed optimism that BiH will move faster towards integration.

According to Speaker Ljubić, in the upcoming period, parliamentary co-operation between the PRC and BiH must be upgraded, to which bilateral meetings of the heads of those two Parliaments would contribute.

During the meeting, Speaker Ljubić was informed about the proportions of the earthquakes in Sichuan province and expressed solidarity with the victims of this catastrophe. (end)
