Dr. Denis Bećirović, Speaker of the House of Representatives, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy

 
Dr. Denis Bećirović, Speaker of the BiH PA House of Representatives, received today in an introductory visit from Mr Ruggero Corrias, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dr. Bećirović thanked Ambassador Corrias and his country for their help and support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in its Euro-Atlantic path.
He assessed the bilateral relations between BiH and Italy at a high level. Dr. Bećirović also used the opportunity to express his enthusiasm for upcoming projects, which will intensify development of economic co-operation between the two countries.

Ambassador Corrias was especially interested in the status of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Animal Protection and Welfare. They both expressed their hope that the final text of the Law will be harmonized with the principles applied in EU countries.

Today, the interlocutors also agreed that parliamentary co-operation represents an excellent political tool for strengthening mutual relations between the two countries. It was concluded that is necessary to establish closer links between the parliamentary leaderships and working bodies of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the Republic of Italy. (end)
