Parliamentary Military Commissioner of BiH Boško Šiljegović meets with the Military Attaché of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
In Sarajevo, the Parliamentary Military Commissioner of BiH, Boško Šiljegović, spoke with the military attaché of the Netherlands in our country, Colonel Erik van Vuren.
During the meeting, Šiljegović briefed Colonel Van Vuren about the activities of the Office of the Parliamentary Military Commissioner in 2018. He pointed out the events that affected the issue of the situation of human rights of members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AF BiH).
Opinions were exchanged on the state of staff and working conditions of members of the AF BiH.
The Parliamentary Military Commissioner of BiH also informed his guest about the activities for the preparation of the 11th International Conference of the Ombudsman for the Armed Forces, which will be held in Sarajevo this year, from October 27 to 30.
Šiljegović used the opportunity to thank the Military Attaché and the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for supporting this conference, emphasising that, in addition to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, significant support was provided by the Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), as well as friendly countries Germany, Norway, Austria and Switzerland.
