Speaker of the House of Peoples Ognjen Tadić and Members of the PABiH Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union at the 138th Plenary Session of the IPU
Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Ognjen Tadić, Chairman of the PABiH Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Nenad Lalić, and members of the Delegation, Predrag Kožul and Salko Sokolović, will take part in the 138th plenary session of the IPU, which will be held from 25th to 27th March in Geneva.
A significant number of global issues and problems that the world is facing today will be considered during the plenary session and the sessions of the three standing committees. The key topic of the session will be the issue of parliamentary contributions to solving migration issues; the parliamentarians from around the world will also consider the issue of maintaining peace as a means of meeting the Sustainable Development Goals.
The parliamentary delegations will also address the participation of women in politics, the involvement of the private sector in the development of renewable energy sources, and the issue of building sustainable societies during the three-day session of IPU in Geneva.
The organisers also announced organising of several special workshops to discuss nuclear disarmament, the exercise of the human rights of migrants and refugees, and ensuring the monitoring of the health of adolescents.
The largest and oldest international parliamentary organisation in the world will adopt several resolutions and draft resolutions in Geneva on key topics of the sessions. (End)
