Members of the permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA) talked with the OSCE PA’s Special Representative on South-East Europe
Members of the permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA), Mirza Kušljugić and Lazar Prodanović, met today in Sarajevo with the OSCE PA’s Special Representative on South-East Europe, Mr Robert Battelli, and exchanged views on the political situation in the light of the upcoming general elections in BiH.
During the meeting, a draft content of OSCE PA’s Resolution on Regional Co-operation in the South-East Europe was analysed, this will be presented at the Annual Session of the OSCE PA in Baku. In that respect, the hosts of today’s meeting, suggested that it would be good for Bosnia and Herzegovina to incorporate in the text of the Draft Resolution the support by the OSCE PA for the initiative of the European Commission on a new approach by the European Union towards BiH in the process of European integration.
High-level guests showed an interest concerning the possible impact of citizens’ protests on the electoral process, election campaign, as well as on results of upcoming general elections in BiH. (end)
