Speaker of House of Representatives of Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Šefik Džaferović, spoke President of Government of Republic of Macedonia

The good friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia should be strengthened in the forthcoming period by further economic cooperation as well as by cooperation at all other levels, it was said today during the meeting of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, who is in the official visit to our country.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Šefik Džaferović, stressed the importance of today's visit, which will be an incentive to the improvement of the relations between two countries, especially the economic ones. The resources that BiH and Macedonia have should be well used for the benefit of citizens of both countries, and the establishment of the direct airline between Sarajevo and Skopje would certainly contribute to the faster connection, said Džaferović.

According to the Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Macedonia wants the cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels, and today's signing of two agreements on mutual cooperation is the step leading to the strengthening of the overall relations between two countries. In the future, it is foreseen the signing of the agreements also in other areas, which will create conditions for even more substantive bilateral relations, emphasized Zaev.

The Speaker Džaferović and the Prime Minister Zaev also talked about strengthening of the parliamentary cooperation. In this regard, the Speaker Džaferović has sent the invitation to the Speaker of the Macedonian Parliament (Sobranje) for the visit to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

Given that both countries have the same foreign policy goals, there were discussions about the European and Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. The support, the regional cooperation and the exchange of experiences will contribute to the faster integration of both countries in these European flows, it was concluded at the meeting between the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Šefik Dzaferović,  and the Prime Minister of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev.
