Speaker of the House of the Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly Šefik Džaferović met with the EU delegation

The speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, spoke today with a delegation from the European Union led by the director for the Western Balkans at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and enlargement negotiations, Genoveva Ruiz Calavera.

The European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the topic of the talks attended by the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and the EU Special Representative, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, and special focus was on the echoes of the recent Trieste summit and the necessity of signing the Transport Community Treaty and continuing the implementation of the Reform Agenda, as well as the adoption of the Law on Excise and on the need to improve the judiciary at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina through the structured dialogue on the trail of the European acquis.

They jointly expressed the commitment that additional efforts will be made in order to accelerate the implementation of these important tasks before the autumn this year. (end)
