Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Šefik Džaferović and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Safet Softić ,talked with the Advisor of Palestinian President

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Šefik Džaferović and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Safet Softić, talked today with the Advisor of the President of Palestine, Mahmoud S.A. Alhabash who is on an official working visit to our country. Mr.Džaferović and Softić pointed out during the meeting that Bosnia and Herzegovina supports permanent solution to the Palestinian issue through the proposed concept of "two countries" on the basis of which Palestine and Israel would in the future, as two sovereign states, cooperate and contribute to the overall cooperation in the region. In this way, as it was said, decades-long suffering of the people of Palestine would be stopped, so the way to lasting peace and prosperity would be open.

Participants of today meeting agreed that political relations between BiH and Palestine are at a high level and not burdened by mutual unresolved issues. In this light, parliamentary cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Palestine was estimated as good but as it was pointed out, there is the possibility for its further development. During the meeting, Mr. Alhabasha conveyed the invitation of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbasaa for the leaders of BiH Parliamentary Assembly to pay an official visit to Palestine (End)
