Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Šefik Džaferović met with the non-resident Ambassador of Ukraine to Bosnia and Herzegovina

 
Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović met today in Sarajevo with the non-resident Ambassador of Ukraine to Bosnia and Herzegovina Oleksandr Levčenko and they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador Levchenko introduced Mr.Džaferović with the situation in Ukraine. In this respect, Mr.Džaferović said that Bosnia and Herzegovina respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and advocates resolving the Ukraine crisis on the principles of the international law.

The interlocutors agreed there are no open issues between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine and there are unused opportunities of strengthening economic cooperation. They also agreed that it should be working on improving of the cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.

Mr.Džaferović introduced the Ambassador of Ukraine with the current political situation in our country. Noting that Bosnia and Herzegovina unblocked its European path, Mr. Džaferović expressed a belief that our country will continue to progress rapidly towards European Union (EU) and will submit a credible application for a candidate status for EU membership shortly.
Kostiantyn Subbotin, the Head of Mission of the Embassy of Ukraine to Bosnia and Herzegovina was also present at the meeting of Mr. Džaferović and the Ambassador Levchenko. (End)
