Speakers of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina talked with the Prime Minister of Turkey

Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) Safet Softić and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH Šefik Džaferović, as part of a three-day official working visit to the Republic of Turkey, talked   today in Ankara with the Prime Minister of this country Binali Yildrimom on improving political and economic relations between the two countries.

The Prime Minister Yildirim expressed his gratitude for the support and solidarity provided by BiH to the Turkish people during last year's coup attempt in the country, emphasizing that the sincere friendship between the two countries was best demonstrated in these difficult times for the Republic of Turkey.

Expressing his belief that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to make progress on its path towards European Union and NATO, and that the years ahead of us will prove that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the best example of coexistence of all peoples and citizens, the Prime Minister of Turkey said that all countries in the region need to make efforts to preserve peace and security of citizens.

Prime Minister Yildirim said that relations between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be further strengthen on the economic plan. In this regard, Yildirim said that the negotiations on the agreement between the two countries on free trade are developing in a positive direction, and added that this year the program of meat import will be continued, program to support employment projects in BiH, as well as projects implemented by TIKA.

The Prime Minister of Turkey expressed his wish to increase the number of big investments from Turkey to BiH, saying that he expects from the authorities of our country to work on removing barriers to investments and introduce incentives for those who invest and create new jobs in BiH.

Speakers of both houses of the PA BiH Safet Softić and Šefik Džaferović said that Euro-Atlantic integrations are a permanent commitment of our country and added that this process should be accompanied by strong economic reformand more foreign investments that would create new jobs.In this regard, the speakers of both Houses called on Prime Minister Yildirim and businessmen in Turkey to continue to invest in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and promised that the authorities in BiH would do everything to create the best possible conditions for Turkish and other foreign investors.

Delegation of the PA BiH is travelling tonight to Bursa to meet the Governor and the Mayor of Bursa province and discuss the possibilities of improving cooperation in all fields, especially in the economic field. (End)
