The constitutive session of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA has begun

 
The constitutive session of the seventh sitting of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA,) whose mandate runs until 2018, began today in Sarajevo.

Before the session began, the President of the Central Election Commission, Stjepan Mikić, handed out certificates of appointment to the newly- elected delegates of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA.

For the Federation of BiH, mandates were assigned to the following Bosnian people’s delegates: Halid Genjac, Sead Kadić, Sifet Podžić, Fahrudin Radončić and Safet Softić.
For the Croatian people, mandates were assigned to the following delegates: Bariša Čolak, Zdenka Džambas, Marija Karamatić, Martin Raguž and Ljilja Zovko.
For the Republika Srpska, mandates were assigned to the following Serbian people’s delegates: Darko Babalj, Sredoje Nović, Nebojša Radmanović, Dragutin Rodić and Ognjen Tadić.

Delegates of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA took over their duties by giving and signing the asseveration. In accordance with the Provisions of the Rules of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA, the constitutive session was conducted by Sredoje Nović, in his capacity as temporary Chairperson, as the oldest elected delegate.
At the constitutive session, three clubs of delegates from the three constituent peoples were formed and their leaders were appointed. Accordingly, the Chairperson of the Bosnian Delegates in the upcoming session is Halid Genjac, with Sifet Podžić as deputy. The Chairperson of the Croatian Delegates is Lilja Zovko, with Zdenka Džabas as deputy, and the Chairperson of the Serbian Delegates is Sredoje Nović, with Dragutin Rodić as deputy.
The House of Peoples then adopted a conclusion, proposed by the Chairperson of the Bosnian Club of Delegates, that the constitutive session of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA be temporarily halted, due to the need for additional consultations. The conclusion specified that the continuation of this session will be held in the next 15 days, on a date to be determined by the Chairpersons of the three clubs, alongside the temporary Chairperson of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA.
