MP of the House of Representatives, Saša Magazinović, spoke with the President of the PACE

 
Member of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Saša Magazinović, met in Paris with the President of PACE, Anne Brasseur.

Magazinović informed President Brasseur of the political developments in BiH with an emphasis on the process of government formationat all levels. The two were unanimous in their assessment that it is necessary to complete this process as soon as possible in order to, among other things, start fulfilling the obligations of the recently adopted Declaration of Commitment of institutions at all levels of government in BiH to implement the necessary reforms in the framework of the EU integration process. The discussion emphasized the equally important role of the government and the opposition in the process of EU integration and the need for co-operation between all political actors in this extremely important project for the country.

Magazinović and Brasseur also discussed the upcoming period when BiH will take over the chairmanship of the Council of Europe. They agreed that BiH should take advantage of "a new approach to the EU," but also the presidency of the Council of Europe which plays an important role for each country. The chairmanship is also the chance to present our country in the international arena, as well as to promote economic, cultural and tourism potential.

One of the topics was also Brasseur's official visit to BiH in preparation for the presidency of the Council of Europe, which is planned for 11 to 13 March.

Otherwise, Magazinović is in Paris to attend the meeting of the Standing Committee of the PACE. (End)
