Members of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) participated in the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean



Members of the Permanent Delegation of the BiH PA in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM PA), Diana Zelenika and Hazim Rančić, took part in the 11th plenary session of the UfM PA, held on 11 and 12 May in Lisbon.

After introductory presentations and discussions, the two-day session adopted recommendations which noted that each Member State, as well as the European Union (EU), should take measures to address the issues of migration, asylum, security threats, respect for human rights and eliminate the causes that lead to humanitarian crises. The recommendations will be forwarded to the EU as well as the heads of governments of the Member States of the Union for the Mediterranean.

Members of the Permanent Delegation of the BiH PA in UfM PA, Diana Zelenika and Hazim Rančić, also took part in a meeting of the Committee on Political Affairs, Security and Human Rights. At the meeting, they exchanged views on issues of migration, asylum, security and human rights in the Euro-Mediterranean region. (End)
