Speaker of the House of Representatives Šefik Džaferović and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Ognjen Tadić spoke with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece

 
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Assembly Ognjen Tadić spoke today in Sarajevo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Kotzias on improving bilateral relations between the two countries.

Noting that political relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece are at a very high level, they agreed that such relations should be followed by improved cooperation in the economic field.

Accordingly, representatives of the two countries agreed to take a number of steps in the upcoming period to strengthen economic cooperation, especially in the field of energy and the field of road and railway infrastructure, with a particular focus on European corridors whose sections pass through BiH.


During the meeting it was said that, in spite of its current crisis, Greece will continue to provide full support, as well as expert and technical assistance, to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards the European Union. It was emphasized that the, regardless of the problems that the region faces, the Western Balkans needs to become part of the European community of states and peoples in the near future.

Leaders of the BH Parliamentary Assembly expressed gratitude to the Foreign Minister of Greece on friendly relations and support, and invited the Chair of the Parliament of Greece to visit BiH. (End)
