On behalf of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I would like to express our deepest consideration.
Please allow me to take this opportunity and thank you once again for continued support of the United States of America to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina ever since our country became independent and internationally recognized until today, in the process of establishing and maintaining peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, its territorial integrity, building a society according to democratic standards, as well as support for our country on its path towards NATO and European Union membership.
We are especially grateful for invaluable assistance of the United States of America in economic reconstruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina and for human involvement in creating the conditions for sustainable return of refugees.
Visit of Mr. Bill Clinton, President of USA to Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 22, 1997 and participation in the Stability Pact Summit in Sarajevo in 1999, visit of Mr. Joseph Biden, Vice President of the USA in May 2009, visit of Mrs. Hillary Clinton, Secretary of the State on October 12, 2010, as well as visit of senators, congressmen and other high officials of American Administration, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its peoples see as a kind of confirmation of friendly relations and continued interest for the situation in West Balkan region.
Your Excellency,
With the hope and deep belief that our good relations can be further improved and developed, especially in the field of inter-parliamentary cooperation, please allow me to take this opportunity and extend you our invitation to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It would be an honor and great pleasure if the President of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress visits our country for the first time in this sixteen year postwar period.
