Leadership of the House of Peoples and the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH with Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro

“Montenegro and its Parliament are the genuine friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and every progress of your country and its moving towards the European Union and NATO make us happy,” stressed Ranko Krivokapić, Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, during the meeting held today with the Members of leadership of the House of Peoples and the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Today and on numerous occasions at the meetings, where the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by Ognjen Tadić, Speaker of the House of Peoples, Dr. Denis Bećirović, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Milorad Živković, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, speakers stated that proof of good relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro is the fact that diplomatic contacts between the parliamentary leadership and bodies of two states are comparably more frequent then bilateral contacts of other states in the region. Besides, Mr Krivokapić emphasized that good political communication between the two sovereign states and a tighter connection of their supplementary economies are in their mutual interest. In that respect, it was said today that implementation of the initiative for the two states to harmonize and sign the agreements on mutual regulation of property-legal relations, co-operation in the health care field, and air traffic would represent a positive signal that the issue of state boundary between the two countries, in the area of Slatina in eastern Bosnia, 70 hectares of land, could be solved by the end of year. Today, the need to improve railway and road connection between two countries, for which project documents partly exist, was also mentioned. It requires joint lobbying efforts for mutual gain and the necessary funding. (end)
