Dr. Denis Bećirović, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH met with the Ambassador of Iran to BiH

The trade exchange between Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Iran should be at a higher level, and business contacts between entrepreneurs should be intensified. At the same time, it is necessary to maintain the momentum of increasing Iranian investment in BiH and promoting BiH enterprises within the Iranian market. This was stressed at the meeting held today between Dr. Denis Bećirović, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and Mr. Gholoamreza Yousefi, the Ambassador of Iran to BiH.
According to Dr. Bećirović, the friendly relationship between the two countries should be strengthened by intensifying co-ordination within cultural, educational and economic areas. Dr. Bećirović pointed out that state parliaments play an important role in uniting the two countries, and the current convocation of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH will continue with meetings with the leadership of the highest-level legislative bodies.
The Iranian Ambassador, Mr. Yousefi, stressed that Iran is willing to engage in proactive talks about improving economic co-operation, as there is as yet untapped potential for the implementation of joint projects. (end)
