Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Borjana Krišto speaks with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in BiH

 
Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, met today in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to BiH, H.E. Jurriaan Kraak, to discuss the future course of European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the improvement of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Kraak welcomed the positive steps that Bosnia and Herzegovina has taken by ​​adopting the Reform Agenda - a document that, in accordance with the new European initiative, focuses on socio - economic reforms.

Ambassador Kraak pointed out that the Kingdom of the Netherlands has, in the past two decades, been one of the largest single donors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding that his country will continue to provide strong political and economic support to all positive processes on the path of BiH towards Europe.

Ms. Krišto stressed that reforms should be undertaken to ensure stability and a better quality of life for all people in BiH, and noted the need to change the BiH Constitution so as to establish full equality of the three constituent peoples, as well as the need to implement reforms of electoral legislation and the BiH judiciary - areas which Ms. Krišto suggested as representing an obstacle to all other reforms in BiH.

Ms. Krišto thanked the Ambassador for the political and economic support of his country and expressed hope that the bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of the Netherlands will continue to improve. (End)
