The Collegium of the House of Representatives spoke with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Bülent Arınç

 
In the future, co-operation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey should be stronger and extended not only on the economic front, but also on the other aspects, such as culture, science, tourism and health. This was emphasized during the meeting of delegates of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by the Speaker Milorad Živković with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Bülent Arınç.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that meetings of parliamentarians contribute to a better relationship, and should be used as an initiative for intensified contact with the representatives of the executive bodies. Also, there is a need to use all other available methods of making connections in order for economic co-operation to go hand in hand with good political relations. Meanwhile, more frequent contact could contribute to the realization of common goals regarding the increase of trade exchange, bringing businessman together and increasing Turkish investment on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

One of the today's discussed ideas was the possibility of investing in winter tourism and reconstructing the capacities on the Bosnian and Herzegovinian Olympic Mountains, as well as the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Turkey.
The Delegation of the House of Representatives, composed of the Speaker Milorad Živković and the Deputy Speakers Božo Ljubić and Denis Bećirović, expressed their gratitude to the Republic of Turkey for the help provided to our country, but also for their strong support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path toward Euro-Atlantic integration. In addition, the important commitment of the Republic of Turkey on the bilateral and the multilateral plan, as well as commitment to the joint appearance of the two countries in international institutions was emphasized.

During the visit to the Republic of Turkey, the Delegation of the House of Representatives spoke with Hakan Cavusogl, the Chair of the Friendship Group with BiH in the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey. Accordingly, it was emphasized that there is a need to make additional effort for the qualitative promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkish investors. This initiative could be additionally supported by organizing more frequent business forums for the businessmen of the two countries in order to exchange information about the potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
