The attendance of the Delegation of BiH PA in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) at the meetings of PAM permanent committees


The Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), composed of Šemsudin Mehmedović, Ognjen Tadić and Mladen Ivanković-Lijanović, will take part in PAM permanent committee meetings, which will be held on 29 and 30 April in Ankara, Turkey.

On the 29 April, a presentation on the work of the Standing Committee on Political Cooperation and Security (First Committee) will be held, and Mohamed El-Fateh Al-Naserey, Head of the Mission of the League of Arab States in Turkey, will give a speech. Within the framework of presenting the work of the First Committee, meetings will be held for the Ad hoc Committee on the Middle East and Reform in the Arab World, and for the Special Working Group on Organized Crime on the topic, "The Impact of Organized Crime on the Environment."
On the first day, participants will be informed about the work of the Standing Committee for Economic, Social and Environmental Cooperation (Second Committee in the speech given by Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Finance of Turkey. Also, as a part of this presentation, there will be a meeting of the Special Working Group on Climate Change.

On the second day of the meetings, there will be a presentation of the Standing Committee on Dialogue between Civilizations and Human Rights (Third Committee), during which a speech will be given by Adriana Luciano, a representative of the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Turin.

On the last day, participants will discuss the report on the activities of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean on foreign Trade and Investment in the Mediterranean in 2012, and PAM activities in energy, finance and food security. Participants will exchange opinions on unemployment and job creation in the Mediterranean - the priorities and strategies, and a meeting of the Special Working Group on Gender Equality will take place.

As planned, participants will be informed about the establishment of the Association for Research, Training and Innovation in the Mediterranean. (end)
