The Members of the Collegium of both Houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina spoke with the Members of German Bundestag's Parliamentary Friendship Group

The delegation of the German Bundestag’s Parliamentary Friendship Group headed by Marieluise Beck spoke with the members of the Collegiums of both Houses during her official visit to the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Milorad Živković used this opportunity to inform the guests about the current situation and the successfully finished processes, emphasizing that at this point the most important thing is the ongoing discussion about the implementation of the judgement of Sejdic-Finci.

However, the members of the both Collegiums of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasized that along with these political processes, special attention should be devoted to the economic development and attraction of foreign investments. Bosnia and Herzegovina is open for German investments because there are many opportunities for the enhancement of economic relations and investments, which was concluded today during the meeting of the representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the delegation of the German Bundestag’s Parliamentary Friendship Group.

According to Marieluise Beck, with the support of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path toward European Union, the development of the economy and the reduction of unemployment, as well as the prevention of the emigration of young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina should be the main focus.

“Technical obstacles regarding the investments that are mirrored in the structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina limit the process of investing. Accordingly, there is a need for the establishment of the state structure, which would in the name of the state act as an interlocutor, and would negotiate with the potential investors", stressed Beck.
