The Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina met with the Parliamentarians of Great Britain

 
Today, members of the Collegium of both Houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Milorad Živković, the Deputy Speakers of the House of Peoples Sulejman Tihić and Ognjen Tadić and the Representative Saša Magazinović spoke with members of the Parliament of Great Britain Karen Lumley, Guto Bebb, Gemma Doyle and Emma Reynolds.

During the meeting, guests were informed of the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the implementation of the decision of the European Court of Human Rights in the “Sejdić and Finci against Bosnia and Herzegovina” case, the fulfilment of the requirements needed for EU and NATO integration, a discussion on the abolishment of supervision for Brčko District, and a discussion on the organization of the local elections in Srebrenica. It was emphasized that there is political will to find solutions for these issues. Accordingly, it can be expected that disagreements in the following period will be resolved.

The Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed gratitude to the British parliamentarians for the help which Great Britain provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of establishing peace and in the creation of the conditions for the economic prosperity of the country.
