The Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina spoke with the members of British groups in the Inter-Parliamentary Union during the official visit to Great Britain

During an official visit to Great Britain the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina composed of Halid Genjac, Dragan Vrankić, Nermina Ćemalović and Borislav Bojić met with members of the British groups in Inter-Parliamentary Union, headed by Ms. Gemma Doyle.

Moreover, during the visit the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed, or more precisely the ways in which the stagnation in the further progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path toward EU accession should be overcome. In addition, opinions regarding the implementation of the Court decision in the case “Sejdić and Finci against Bosnia and Herzegovina” were exchanged. It was emphasized that visible differences in political opinions exist, but the encouraging fact is that a decision was reached regarding the election of the Delegates in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the British groups in the Inter-Parliamentary Union promised that they will give their best in order to help Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to European Union but also that it is BiH’s responsibility to resolve its internal problems. They emphasized that the leaders of the political parties have to agree on structural reforms to accelerate the process of EU integration. (end)
