Delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) and Deputy Chair of the PA BiH Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the South East European Cooperation Process (PA SEECP) Džemal Smajić participated at the meetings General Committees of the PA SEECP, which were held in Pristina.

At the session of the General Committee for Social Development, Education, Research and Science, the topic "Education for a better world" was discussed, in the framework of which parliamentarians from the participants of the Southeast European region exchanged experiences and views on educational systems and the process of their adaptation to rapid technological changes and changes in the modern world. In connection with this topic, the participants adopted the Draft Report and the Resolution with all proposed amendments.

Members of the General Committee for Justice, Internal Affairs and Security Cooperation in Pristina discussed the topic "Security challenges in the countries of Southeastern Europe - political and security consequences as a challenge to peace and stability in the region".

In the report on this topic, which was presented to the members of the General Committee, it was pointed out the fact that the Russian military invasion of Ukraine brought great security and political challenges affecting, among others, the political, economic and security situation in SEECP participants.

It was assessed that regional stability was preserved, despite the tensions in relations between Belgrade and Pristina, and the unstable political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was concluded that regional security challenges need to be effectively prevented to ensure a stable and safe future for the region. The participants also emphasized the importance of cooperation, both regionally and at the level of the European Union, as a response to the challenges we face. (end)
