Members of the Independent Board of PABiH visited the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies BiH

Chair of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) Enes Obralija and members of the Independent Board Mate Miletić and Milan Stanić visited today the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the planned activities for this year. They met with the management of the Directorate.

The Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Enes Karić, and the Deputy Directors of the Directorate, Đuro Knežević and Goran Amidžić, briefed the members of the Independent Board on the state and development of the Directorate since the assumption of office by the new leadership. They highlighted activities aimed at increasing capacity through continuous training and equipping of the Directorate. They also discussed initiatives focused on improving communication, coordination, and co-operation between police bodies, both at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina and internationally, in line with legal competencies.

The Directorate's management also pointed out issues related to insufficient staffing of police officers and difficulties in the material and technical equipment of police officers, which, as emphasized, are necessary for full operational functionality of the Directorate.

Chair of the Independent Board of the PABiH Enes Obralija thanked them for the information on the Directorate's development and expressed satisfaction with the progress made. On behalf of the Independent Board, Obralija expressed readiness to support the role of the Directorate in the police system in Bosnia and Herzegovina within its competence and within the competencies of the Independent Board of the PABiH.
