Speaker of the House of Peoples of PABiH Kemal Ademović met with the Mayor of Sarajevo

“The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Kemal Ademović, received today the Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged information about current political and social events and agreed that Sarajevo has always been an open city throughout its history, where citizens could freely gather and express their views on all issues and problems, both in our country and abroad.

The interlocutors also agreed that anyone who is well-intentioned, regardless of their origin, is welcome in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its capital, but they should respect the laws of this country and appreciate the specificities of society in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

SpeakerAdemović expressed full support for Mayor Karić in her work and called on all relevant institutions to investigate recent attacks on her integrity. Threats to BiH officials who freely express their views in their country are politically incorrect and absolutely unacceptable, Ademović reminded.

At the end of the meeting, SpeakerAdemović wished Mayor Karić good health and strength to continue acting in the best interest of the citizens of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. (Statement from the Office of the Speaker of the House of Peoples, Kemal Ademović)
