Members of the Committee for the Fight against Corruption and Kleptocracy of the House of Representatives talked with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Chair of the Committee for the Fight against Corruption and Kleptocracy of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Branislav Borenović, along with the Deputy Chairs, Predrag Kožul and Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, and members Nermin Mandra, Milorad Kojić, and Nenad Grković, talked today with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Brian Aggeler.

During the meeting, the Committee members briefed Ambassador Aggeler on the work of the Committee, which, as stated, has the authority to conduct parliamentary oversight to detect and prevent all forms of corruption, in accordance with the Law on Parliamentary Oversight. In this regard, they mentioned that the Committee had agreed on a working methodology in previous sessions, as well as future plans to organize meetings between the Committee members and the institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina responsible for combating crime and corruption.

The Committee, it was stated, will request reports on the results and experiences in combating all forms of corruption from the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption (APIK), the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Audit Office of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Public Procurement Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Office for the Review of Complaints of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Ombudsman Institution for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the meeting, it was mentioned that the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been involved in activities related to the reform of judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina for two decades, will support the work of the Committee for the Fight against Corruption and Kleptocracy of the House of Representatives.
