Members of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) participate in the 104th Rose Roth Seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Stockholm

Speaker of the House of Peoples and the Chairman of Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) Kemal Ademović and a Member of Delegation Obren Petrović are participating in the work of the 104th Rose Roth Seminar of the NATO PA, which started today in Stockholm.

The participants of the seminar, hosted by the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sweden, were welcomed in introductory speeches by the Head of the Swedish Parliament Delegation in NATO PA, Hans Wallmark, the Deputy Speaker of the Swedish Parliament, Julia Kronlid, and the Minister for European Affairs in the Swedish Government, Jesica Roswall.

In their presentations, representatives of the Parliament and Government of Sweden expressed their unconditional support for strengthening security, projected stability, and intensifying activities on the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, and Moldova.

Swedish officials have confirmed that the situation in the Western Balkans region is the focus of the Swedish Government. They called on the leaders of the countries to co-operate and strengthen mutual trust. In this regard, Minister Roswall emphasized the importance of meeting the conditions for starting negotiations and EU membership, as it represents an opportunity for restructuring and changing the perception of values in a society and a country.

In their speeches, Swedish officials also called on NATO members to ensure long-term support for Ukraine.

Deputy Minister of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slaven Galić, is also participating in the seminar at the invitation of the NATO PA International Secretariat and will address the participants tomorrow. (end)
