The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Milorad Živković and the Speaker of the House of Peoples, Dr. Dragan Čović met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland

 
After the local elections, we expect to devote more energy to European path and fulfilling accession requirements which were set to Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasized the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Milorad Živković and the Speaker of the House of Peoples, Dragan Čović, during the meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Erkki Tuomioja.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Milorad Živković, informed the guests about the current situation and pointed out that the Euro-Atlantic Integration is the priority for Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he believes that all the strength until the end of the year will be focused on the reforms, while the Speaker of the House of Peoples, Dr. Dragan Čović, emphasized that complexity of the state causes complicated decision-making process.

According to the Minister Tuomioja, compared to 2005, Bosnia and Herzegovina has made evident progress, but still has not made the progress made by some neighboring countries. Therefore, we expect a positive response from Bosnia and Herzegovina as well, emphasized Tuomioja, since the relationship of your country with the EU depends only on you.

During the meeting it was confirmed that there are no outstanding questions between the two countries and that good cooperation can be improved in different fields. They also discussed parliamentary cooperation and leadership meetings planned for the future, as well as the benefits of regional cooperation. (End)
