Speaker of the House of Representatives and Head of the PA BiH Delegation to the IPU, Dr. Denis Zvizdić and members of the PA BiH Delegation to the IPU, Ermina Salkičević - Dizdarević and Mladen Bosić, attended the opening and the first panels at the IPU conference on interfaith dialogue in Marrakesh

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) and Head of the PA BiH Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Denis Zvizdić Ph.D., and members of the PA BiH Delegation to the IPU, Ermina Salkičević - Dizdarević and Mladen Bosić, attended today the opening and the first panels at the IPU conference on interfaith dialogue in Marrakesh in the Kingdom of Morocco. The conference is attended by presidents and members of parliaments, religious leaders, representatives of civil society and other experts.

IPU President Duarte Pacheco opened the conference and said: "We can all stand for solidarity, moderation and inclusion with one voice. We can advocate better respect for human rights. Today we are doing something historic at the first parliamentary conference on mutual and inter-religious dialogue.”

The conference is jointly organized by the IPU and the Parliament of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the high patronage of H.E. King Mohammed VI. During the three-day conference, parliamentarians, religious leaders and civil society representatives from around the world will participate in panel discussions on the rule of law, peace and inclusion. There will also be talks about promoting regional and global peace through interfaith dialogue, the joint work of parliaments and religious leaders to promote dialogue, and there will be an exchange of information and good practices about the cooperation of parliaments with religious communities and organizations, about the role of parliaments and religious leaders in promoting gender equality. , the roles of young people in society and in the fight against hate speech and incitement to violence.
