Members of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina met with a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Parliament of Switzerland


Chairman, Mirza Kušljugić, Deputy Chair, Zvonko Jurišić and Mirsad Đugum and Mladen Ivanković-Lijanović, members of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH, had a meeting today with a delegation of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Parliament of Switzerland, led by Chairman Hannes Germann.

According to the members of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of BiH PA, Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have less capacity and quality to achieve good results as Switzerland, but unfortunately, its capacities have not been used so far; this situation does not contribute development of the country. As they said, good communication and tolerance in politics is one of the manners to build a better future in BiH.

The Delegation of Swiss Parliament pointed out that 70.000 people from Bosnia and Herzegovina live in Switzerland and more than half has got Swiss citizenship. Having in mind this fact, they stressed that it is also one of the ways for better cooperation between the two countries as well as the opportunity for their investing in BiH economy. In addition, a lot of well educated and qualified people live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so Switzerland wants to help and support development of Bosnia and Herzegovina through different forms of investment, said the delegation members today.
Considering the similarity of the political structure of the two countries, delegations exchanged their views regarding collection of taxes, the functioning of the health system and the organization of political parties.
