Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PABiH Dr. Denis Zvizdić spoke with the non-resident Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Bosnia and Herzegovina

"Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PABiH, Dr. Denis Zvizdić, met today with the non-resident Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Nabila Alshamsi and informed her about the current political and security situation in the country.

Speaker Zvizdić said that the key foreign policy goals of Bosnia and Herzegovina are European and NATO integration. He also informed her of the process of forming the government after the October elections and said that he expects that this government will achieve progress at all levels in all segments that are important for the progress of the country.

Speaker Zvizdić and Ambassador Alshamsi also discussed the opening of the UAE embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They said that there is great interest from investors and citizens and that it is necessary to improve relations in this aspect as well in the forthcoming period.

Speaker Zvizdić praised the EXPO 2020 world exhibition in which Bosnia and Herzegovina participated together with 190 countries of the world and thanked for the help in realizing the presence at the exhibition.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina has enterprising people, an educated workforce, natural resources and geographical proximity to large markets and the European Union, with which we share a thousand-kilometres-long border. These facts are a sign that Bosnia and Herzegovina can be a good and reliable partner to economically developed countries both in the east and in the west." Speaker Zvizdić said during the meeting.

SpeakerZvizdić and Ambassador Alshamsi agreed that co-operation between BiH and the UAE is important and that there is room for its improvement, especially in the fields of tourism, economy, industry, culture, and other fields.
