Members of Collegiums of both Houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH meet with the President of the Republic of Croatia

Members of the Collegiums of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina met today with the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, who is in a several-day visit to our country.

In cordial and open conversation, the interlocutors expressed a common view that further work is required to strengthen the communication between the two neighbouring and friendly countries in order to avoid problems, superficial and sometimes malevolent interpretations of the presented opinions and statements. In this connection, President Kitarović's visit was assessed as a good move at the right time, which contributes to better understanding and creating better conditions for removing open issues that exist between the two countries. On the other hand, it was pointed that continuous affirmation of positive examples in cooperation between the businessmen of the two neighbouring countries is required, as well as their successful joint and successful performance in third markets, such as the cooperation between "Energoinvest" and "Končar". This would, it was said, entice even stronger connection that could contribute to the well-being of the citizens of both countries.

It has been repeatedly underlined at the meeting that it is necessary to try to harmonise the electoral legislation as soon as possible in a good quality way in order to facilitate the implementation of the results of the general elections that will be held in October this year. In addition, it was said during the meeting that care must be taken in order to observe the equality of all peoples and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today's meeting was an opportunity for members of the Collegium of both Houses to thank once again the Republic of Croatia for the assistance it provides to the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as its commitment to maintain the mood of EU Member States for its enlargement to the Western Balkans countries.
