Members of the Collegiums of both Houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH spoke with the representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights

Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović and Safet Softić, met today with representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), whose two-day visit to the country takes place due to preparation of a project for 2018 election process support.

During the meeting, the interlocutors expressed the hope that changes in electoral legislation related to both political and technical issues will be timely completed so that the election process improves before elections planned for 2018. It was said that at the time of the early election campaign, any assistance from the international community was welcomed, so that problems related to the registration of voters, the holding of elections and its implementation would not be repeated this autumn. In this light, Deputy Speakers welcomed ODIHR's intention to pay special attention in the forthcoming period to the development of electoral administration, the improvement of voter registration, and to the work with the BiH media.
