Members of the PABiH Delegation to the PA of the Council of Europe on third part of the 2017 session of the PA of the Council of Europe

The Chairperson of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Senad Šepić, the Vice-Chairperson, Borjana Krišto, and the members of the Delegation Damir Arnaut, Milica Marković and Saša Magazinović will participate in the work of the third part of the 2017 session of PACE which will be held in Strasbourg from 26 to 30 June 2017.

As the organizers have announced, during the PACE summer session, the issue of corruption will be discussed, the corruption as a barrier to institutional efficiency and the progress of society, as well as the issue of parliamentary scrutiny over corruption and, in this regard, the cooperation of parliaments with investigative media.

The central parliamentary debate in Strasbourg will be devoted to seeking the comprehensive humanitarian and political response to migration and refugee crisis in Europe. One part of this debate, as announced, will address the European response to transit migration in the Mediterranean region  as well as the repercussions of this response to human rights issues.

During the session, the situation in Belarus will be also discussed as well as the report on Bulgaria's early parliamentary elections.

One part of the debate will also be devoted to the issue of the implementation of judgements of the European Court of Human Rights, and the parliamentarians will also consider the issue of the political influence on independent media and journalists.

It was announced that the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, and the Prime Ministers of the Republic of Moldova and Montenegro, Pavel Filip and Duško Marković, will address to the parliamentarians. (end)
