Ismeta Dervoz, member of the Permanent Delegation of the BiH PA in PACE will attend the session of the Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media of the PA of the Council of Europe in Istanbul


Ismeta Dervoz, member of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will participate at the session of the Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media of PACE, in Istanbul, on 12 and 13 May 2014.

As announced by PACE, on the first day of the session, participants will discuss the role of parliaments in protecting the freedom of the media and public. Within this topic, participants will also discuss two sub-topics related to protecting media freedom in Europe and strengthening transparency of media ownership.

On the second day of the session, participants will discuss the role of parliaments in protecting the freedom of the internet and strengthening the management of the internet, with particular focus on two sub-topics - coordinating strategies for the effective management of the internet and increasing cooperation in combating internet terrorism and other internet attacks.
