A member of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Ismeta Dervoz, will participate at a meeting of the Standing Committees in Baku

 
A member of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Ismeta Dervoz, will represent the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination of the PACE as Deputy Chairperson at a meeting of the Standing Committees in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Friday 23 May 2014.

During the meeting, Standing Committee Members will vote to approve the “Report on the Improvement of Co-operation between National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) and Parliaments in Addressing Equality and Non-Discrimination Issues”. This report was adopted in 2014 by the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination.

The Standing Committee meeting is scheduled to be opened by Ms. Anne Brasseur, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ogtay Asadov, will address participants. It was announced that Standing Committee Members will exchange views on current political issues with the Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Elmar Mammadyarov.
